Energy cost savings for breweries & food production

Brewing and food & beverage production all share one costly requirement: large, continuous volumes of hot water for mashing, cleaning, sanitation, and process heating. The energy spent heating that water is one of the biggest costs in a production facility - and one of the easiest to offset with solar, particularly in sunbelt zone regions.

PlexiSun has been developed from an award winning concept, to a scalable volume solar hot water heater validated at a test site in a craft brewery in Brisbane, Australia. Early concept performance testing was carried out by TUV Rheinland in Cologne Germany, and test site prototype and data reviewed at VIPAC Melbourne. Rather than starting from a lab prototype, it has been real world developed to meet the real world demands of production facilities.

Those facilities in high-sun regions where electricity costs are often highest and cooling/heating loads are greatest see the fastest paybacks. PlexiSun's construction uses proven, long-life materials with no end-of-life disposal concerns, supporting sustainability commitments increasingly expected by retailers and consumers of food and beverage brands.
