Solar hot water & daylighting for disaster relief and humanitarian rebuilds

When disaster or displacement forces rapid rebuilding, hot water and healthy living conditions are critical for hygiene, wellbeing, and dignity. PlexiSun was designed to solve exactly this gap: a single, roof-integrated panel that delivers solar hot water and natural daylighting without depending on grid power or specialist installation crews.

Built for places where infrastructure can't be counted on

PlexiSun's modular "kit of parts" system uses established construction materials and a patented mounting design, so panels can be installed quickly by local labor rather than flown-in specialists. Because the system generates its own hot water from sunlight, it offsets electricity consumption in off-grid and conflict-zone settings where fuel, generators, or grid connections can be unreliable or unavailable.

Designed to be rebuilt locally

Because PlexiSun can be constructed from locally sourced and produced aluminium, and assembled with standard construction materials often available in-market, rebuild programs can localise production and support local employment during recovery rather than relying entirely on imported systems.
